Getting Started

  • EventsPlace. In connects people planning events with vendors (services), venues (spaces), and performers (artists and acts).
  • As a guest, you can open the home and search pages, browse categories, and open many listing detail pages without an account.
  • To save progress, book where login is required, post on Marketplace, or manage a business profile, create an account (phone OTP and/or email, depending on where you sign up).
  • If you run a business, register the correct listing type, then complete your profile and optional online booking settings so customers can find and book you.

Account, Login, and Signup

  • Phone OTP: Enter your mobile number, request a one-time code, and enter it to sign in. Your number is verified in this flow.
  • Email and password: Use this if you registered with email. Enter the same email you used at signup.
  • New account: Follow the on-screen signup steps available on both the website and the mobile app.
  • Guest / browse without login: You can explore listings; some actions (booking, marketplace posting, registering a business, and managing a business) require signing in.
  • Forgot password: Use “Forgot password” on the email login screen to receive a reset link. Add a verified email in account settings if you use phone login and want email recovery.

Searching and Browsing

  • From home or search, choose Vendor, Venue, or Performer to match what you are looking for.
  • Use category and location filters when shown to narrow results.
  • In the mobile app, if you allow location, nearby results can be easier to discover (you can change this in device settings).
  • Open a listing to see description, photos, packages or spaces, reviews where available, and whether online booking or availability is offered.

Registering Your Business

  • Pick the type that matches your business: Vendor (services), Venue (halls/spaces), or Performer (artist/act).
  • After signup, complete your public profile: description, categories, service areas, photos, and contact-friendly details.
  • Vendors typically add services or packages; venues add halls or rooms; performers add performance details as guided in the form.
  • To accept online bookings, you must also configure online booking and meet the requirements for your listing type.
  • The mobile app can highlight missing profile steps so you can finish setup faster.

Enabling Online Booking (Vendors, Venues, Performers)

Online booking lets customers request or book time using your availability. The app or site may block turning booking on until prerequisites are met—use Step 2 to complete those first if needed.

Step 1 — Open online booking settings

  • Website: Sign in → open your dashboard → select the vendor, venue, or performer → Edit (or Manage) → open the Online booking section on the edit page. Complete any missing fields shown there before toggling on.
  • Mobile app: Sign in → Manage → choose your listing → open Booking or Online booking settings.

Step 2 — Complete prerequisites for your listing type

  1. Everyone: Add weekly booking hours with at least one bookable time window. Saving online booking may fail until these hours are valid.
  2. Vendor — also ensure:
    • At least one active worker (bookable staff member).
    • At least one bookable service or package with duration and pricing so customers have something to book.
  3. Venue — also ensure:
    • At least one active hall or room.
    • Weekly hours configured for booking (see “everyone” above).
  4. Performer — also ensure:
    • Weekly availability set on your performer profile.
    • You do not need workers or halls (those apply to vendors and venues only).

Step 3 — Enable and save

  1. Turn on Online booking (or the equivalent toggle).
  2. Tap or click Save. If the save is rejected, read the error message—it usually points to a missing worker, hall/room, hours, or bookable service.

Optional: availability without full booking

Some listings can expose availability search or show hours without full instant booking, depending on your settings and plan.

Marketplace / Opportunities

  • Post a requirement when you want providers to come to you: describe the event, location, timing, and budget where relevant.
  • Businesses signed in as the right profile type can browse matching opportunities and respond or bid when the product allows it.
  • Use your account area to track your posts, incoming responses, and bids you submitted.
  • Specific, realistic budgets and dates reduce back-and-forth and help providers reply faster.

Bookings and Appointments

  • Customers: On a listing where online booking is enabled, follow the booking or appointment flow: pick a slot or package, enter requested details, and submit.
  • If booking is disabled, use the contact options on the listing to reach the provider.
  • Providers: Manage incoming appointments from your dashboard or app; keep hours and packages up to date to avoid conflicts.
  • Cancellation and cutoff rules depend on settings your business saved in booking configuration.
  • Adding a verified email to your account helps with confirmations, password recovery, and notifications.

Managing Your Account

  • Update profile and preferences from account settings in the mobile app (and on the website where available).
  • Replay onboarding tips from the app’s Account area if you want a refresher.
  • This Help page and Legal links are linked from the site footer and from the app Account tab.
  • Adjust language, timezone, theme, and notification-related options where your build exposes them.
